Introduction
This disk contains the latest release of the software. Installation
instructions are included in the documentation.
Please carefully review the documentation included in this
package. It contains helpful information on how to install and operate
BIZET. The documentation is provided in Adobe PDF format, and you will
need a PDF reader to view it. A reader can be found on Adobe's
web site , or you can use the one included on the BIZET CD in the
3rdparty folder. The version release notes are listed in reverse
chronological order, with the most recent release at the top. Please
refer to the "Known Issues" section at the end of this document for
important notes about potential problems you may encounter.
Important
Your serial number is important. You will find it on a registration
card in the packaging your software came in. Please store it in a safe
place. You will need it to register your product and to receive
support and updates.
If you do not have a license key, this product will run in "demo
mode". You are still bound by the terms of the license agreement, so
read it carefully before installing or using BIZET. The license
agreement is in the documentation and is included separately on this
disk for your convenience.
BIZET includes Microsoft SQL MSDE 2000 SP4. You can also
install BIZET on a new or existing Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or
2005 installation; you will need to know your SQL administrator (sa)
password. Please check with Microsoft if there are any newer security
patches for MSDE or SQL Server at
http://www.microsoft.com/sql.
NOTE: Users of Adobe Software
The Adobe library psicon.dll that ships with pre-"CS"
versions (e.g. Photoshop 7) of Adobe products has a defect which
causes problems with some of the Microsoft Windows Explorer and
Microsoft Dialog controls that BIZET uses. This defect can cause BIZET
to crash without warning or notice while browsing for files. To
correct this problem, remove or rename the file C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Shell\psicon.dll.

form.

Known Issues
- The ellipsis buttons in the Spot Media grid may not always
render correctly, but will still be functional.
- Soft timing may make Predictive Switch inaccurate. If the
actual Spot playback time has a large variance from the set
Duration of the Spot the decision whether or not to play the
next Spot may be incorrect. The only way to manage this
properly is to set the Spot Duration according to the known
length of the Spot or the Media which will be timing it.
- BIZET may have difficulty contacting the license manager if you
are connected via a VPN or through certain firewalls or
routers. In this case, BIZET may run in demo mode, or you may
get a message telling you you've exceeded your license. In this
case, you may need to copy the NetHASP.ini file from the BIZET
CD to your Windows root folder (e.g.: C:\WINDOWS). Edit the
file to reflect the correct IP address of your BIZET server
system.
- You may get the error "The resource (script name) is missing"
in InfoChannel Designer when saving scripts with exclamation
points (!) in the script name. This is a known bug in Designer
and shouldn't affect the saving of your script. This has been
corrected in Designer release 7.5.9.&nbpsp; Please contact your Scala
representative for information on how to obtain this release.
- Many BIZET features are not yet available as Web Services via
SOAP. Additional SOAP interfaces will be available in the next
BIZET update.
- This release has been tested with InfoChannel up to release
R7.5.9 If you are installing for InfoChannel R6 or prior, you
will need to use the EX's from the R6 folder.
- The R6 EX's have not yet been updated for this Release, so
certain features may not be supported.
- This release has been tested on 64-bit systems and with SQL 2005
64-bit Edition. Special procedures are required for 64-bit
installation and may require additional support from
LCL. Please contact LCL for details if you require 64-bit
support.
- If you launch InfoChannel Designer from BIZET and close BIZET,
you will not be able to restart BIZET until you close Designer.
- Affidavits and Verification Reports will not be available
without a complete Verification Database. This requires a fully
licensed version of BIZET and will not function in the demo
version. If you need to see some samples of Affidavits and
Verification Reports, please contact LCL directly (see below
for contact information).
- Daypart Show scheduling is included in this release. You will
need an additional component to support schedule driven
playback. Contact LCL for details.
- Scala InfoChannel IC200 EX's are no longer included. If you
require IC200 support, contact LCL directly (see below).
